- There is already a wide variety of scrapbook vellum and paper choices with a karate theme. From Asian writing to yin and yang symbols, you can find a lot of already prepared backgrounds and embellishments for your karate scrapbook. Symbols like yin and yang or the rising sun reinforce the great Taoist philosophies your child is learning. Cherry blossoms are a great addition to a girl's karate scrapbook, bringing a feminine touch to a traditionally masculine art. Dragons and pandas are also often related to martial art traditions and can be incorporated into the pages.
- Take photos of your child at karate. From the first bow to the final test, you want to capture the entire discipline they are learning. One of the great traditions of martial arts is the mentoring aspect of the sport. Be sure to capture pictures of the dojo (gym) members and sensei (instructor) with your child.
