How to Make Your Own Pet ID
- 1). Cut the ribbon to a length of 4 inches. Place it on your work surface so that the 4-inch side faces you.
- 2). Write your pet's name and contact phone number on the ribbon's 1-inch center section. Plain, large letters and numbers work best.
- 3). Thread your embroidery needle. Stitch the penciled out name and phone number onto the ribbon with a straight stitch.
- 4). Fold the ends 1/4 inch over. Crease them with your iron. Stitch the seams on your sewing machine.
- 5). Take the collar off your pet. Wrap the ID tag around the collar. Hand-stitch the sides together.
