How To Make a Double Bow
- 1). Decide the size of the double bow. Fold the ribbon so the fold creates the size desired. Hold the ribbon in the middle of the two ribbon folds, so there is equal ribbon on both sides. One side shows a loop, while the other side shows the two loose ends.
- 2). Twist the loop end once, so the back side of it faces upward. Take the loose end that is connected to the ribbon roll and create a loop around the ribbons, perpendicular to the original ribbon fold. Continue to pull the ribbon roll through the loop and secure it tightly as a knot. Cut the ribbon roll off, leaving two ribbon ends hanging loosely.
- 3). Create another ribbon loop on the side with the loose ends. Make another perpendicular loop and secure it around both ribbons. Continue this step for another four times, so the bow has three loops on each side. Let the ends hang loosely after completion.
- 4). Create an additional bow following the above instructions. The second bow could be made in another color to create some contrast between the two bows. Let the ends hang loose.
- 5). Connect the two bows by applying a small dab of fabric glue to the middle section of each bow and hold it in place. Wrap craft wire around the centers of the bows. The bows should be connected so the loose ends hang down. Make sure they do not overlap. If desired, cut one bow's loose ends.
