Cut a piece a clean yarn about 18 inches long. You want to have enough yarn to tie the necklace, and the necklace should hang comfortably enough for the child to bring it to his mouth. - 2

Slide one piece of a ringed cereal along the yarn. Position the cereal piece about 4 inches from the end and tie the yarn around the cereal so that a knot is formed. This will keep subsequent cereal pieces from falling off the yarn. - 3). Wrap a piece a tape around the free end of the yarn to be used for stringing the cereal. The effect will resemble the aglet on a shoelace, making it easier to guide the cereal pieces.
- 4). Slide the cereal rings onto the free end of the yarn. Leave about 4 inches on the end for tying.
- 5). Tie the ends of the necklace at the back of the child's neck, making sure the necklace has enough slack so the child can nibble on the cereal comfortably.
