How to Download a YouTube Video on Your PC & Put it on Your iPod Touch
- 1). Go to a site for downloading YouTube videos (see Resources).
- 2). Copy and paste the URL of the YouTube video into the text box at the YouTube video downloading site. Click on "Download" or a similar command. The site will retrieve the YouTube video and prepare a link for you to download it. Select "MP4" as the file type you want to download.
- 3). Right-click on the video's link to download it to your computer. Rename the file to describe what the video is about, such as "Cat-Playing-Piano.MP4."
- 1). Plug one end of the included USB cable into your iPod touch, and plug the other end into a USB port on your PC. The free iTunes application should launch automatically. If it doesn't, double-click on the iTunes icon to launch it. The first time you used your iPod touch, you would have been prompted to install iTunes, which you use to play music and videos and manage the iPod.
- 2). Click on "Movies" under the icon of your iPod touch in the left side of the iTunes window.
- 3). Open the folder on your hard drive containing the video you downloaded from the YouTube downloading site.
- 4). Drag the YouTube video from the folder into the iTunes window. It will now copy to your iPod touch.
