How to Restore the Windows 98 Registry & Microsoft Access

- 1). Restart your computer.
- 2). Hold down the "Ctrl" key as the computer is starting up. Choose the option for "Safe Mode Command Prompt" and press "Enter."
- 3). Type "cd\windows\command" (without quotes) and press "Enter."
- 4). Type "scanreg /restore" and press "Enter." Choose the previous registry you wish to restore and press "Enter."
- 1). Insert an Office installation CD into the computer.
- 2). Double-click "My Computer." Click the letter of your optical drive and double-click "Setup.exe."
- 3). Select the option to perform a "Repair" installation. This will overwrite the faulty Access files with working copies.
