You know that street game where someone hides a ball within one of three shells or cups, moving them quickly around the table to make it difficult to figure out which is hiding the ball?  Attempting to cancel HBO Now on your iPad may give you a similar feeling.  

The option to cancel is not within the iPad app.  It's also not in the iPad's settings.  In order to cancel HBO Now, you must manage your subscriptions from within your Apple ID.

  Which, again, isn't the easiest thing to figure out how to do.   It's almost as if -- (gasp!) -- Apple didn't want you to unsubscribe from services like HBO Now.  

You can manage your Apple ID by going to the App Store and scrolling all the way down the "Featured" page.  At the very bottom is a button labeled with your Apple ID.  Tap the button and choose "View Apple ID" to get started with the process.  After you type in your password, scroll down until you see a section titled "Subscriptions."  This section contains the Manage button for managing subscriptions.  Once you've found this section, it's relatively easy to open up your individual subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal.
