- 1). Fill a 4-inch container that has a small hole in the bottom with a peat-based potting mix. Place two or three seeds on top of the medium. Push down on the seeds with your finger until they are just covered with the mixture.
- 2). Water the mixture to keep the medium moist. Use a small watering can or spray bottle that will release its water slowly and deliberately, to avoid making the medium too soggy. Keep the containers inside and in front of a window that receives direct sunlight.
- 3). Water your seeds and provide them with ample sunlight and warm temperatures until the seeds begin to sprout. Seedlings should emerge from the seeds in one to three months.
