How to Make Chalkware From Molds

- 1). Pour the plaster of paris mix into the 2 qt. mixing bowl. Stir the warm water into it thoroughly for 2 minutes. It will form a sloppy, white paste.
- 2). Select a latex or plastic mold in the shape of your choice. Candy molds, jewelry molds and decorative soap molds are useful. Pour the mixture into the mold.
- 3). Place the mold in a dry area to set for up to 6 hours. During this time the plaster of paris will harden and dry into a chalkware shape matching the mold.
- 4). Pop the chalkware item out of the mold by twisting it gently and holding it upside down, letting the item fall into your hand.
