How to Get Rid of IEAntivirus

    • 1). Press the "Ctrl," "Alt" and "Delete" keys simultaneously to open the Task Manager. Click the "Processes" tab and scroll down the list. Locate and click the file "ieav.exe" and select "End Process." Scroll through the list and click the file "ieavinstaller.exe" and select "End Process." Close the Task Manager. This will stop the IEAntivirus program from running.

    • 2). Click "Start" followed by "Control Panel" and then select "Uninstall a program." Scroll down the list until you get to "IEAntivrus." Select it and click the "Uninstall" button. Click "Finish" when the uninstaller has completed its operation. Even though the Windows uninstaller has removed most of the IEAntivirus files, there are still files left in your computer that must also be manually removed.

    • 3). Delete the IEAntivrus DLL files. Click "Start" then "My Computer" or "Computer" and double-click the "Local Disk (C:)" drive. Double-click "Windows" from the list of folders to open the Windows folder. Double-click "System 32" from the list in the Windows folder. Scroll down the list in the Windows 32 folder and delete the following files by selecting them, right-clicking on them and selecting "Delete" from the pop-up list.
