Free Scrapbooking Ideas
- Check the Internet for all sorts of ideas for scrapbooking. There are websites totally devoted to bringing you the latest ideas and supplies. You may even be inspired with some ideas of your own while searching on the Internet. Peruse websites that offer free clip art. You can either download the clip art to use in your scrapbooks or just get ideas of little things you can add.
- Talk to your friends that scrapbook. Look at the work they have done. Copy their ideas and share some of your own with them. Even if you have the same idea as someone else, the pages of your scrapbook will still be individual and unique. Ask your kids to help you set up a page for the scrapbook. New eyes on a project are bound to lead to new ideas.
- Look in craft stores. Browse through the scrapbooking supplies they have to offer. Just by looking through the paper that's available may spark some ideas in your mind. Also, many craft stores have pamphlets that are free for the taking. These pamphlets offer tons of different ideas for you to use in your scrapbooking projects.
- Sign up for a free class. Some craft stores offer one free class to see if you want to sign up for a series of classes. Take at least the one class. The teacher will give you a lot of ideas, hoping that you will sign up for future classes to learn their techniques. You don't necessarily need the techniques if you have the ideas.
- Go to the library and borrow books and magazines on scrapbooking. Borrow from your friends that you know subscribe to scrapbooking magazines.
If you subscribe to one magazine and your friend subscribes to another, trade when each of you has finished looking through the magazines.
Have a scrapbooking party. Tell each guest to gather up supplies that they don't use and bring them to the party. The guests can trade each other for new ideas and supplies. Also have them bring finished scrapbooks or ones on which they are currently working. Allow everyone to show off their scrapbooks and give ideas to other guests.
