How to Sync to an iPod Touch

    • 1). Launch your Web browser and navigate to the iTunes download page on the Apple.com website.

    • 2). Click the blue "Download Now" button on the left side of the window and save the file to your computer.

    • 3). Double-click the downloaded file and follow the prompts to install the software.

    • 4). Connect the small end of the iPod's USB cable to an open USB port on your computer.

    • 5). Connect the larger end of the USB cable to the corresponding port on the bottom of the iPod Touch. The iTunes software will launch automatically.

    • 6). Click "File" at the top of the window and then click "Add Folder to Library." Browse to a folder containing media that you want to sync to the iPod Touch and click "Include folder." Repeat this step for each folder containing media you want to sync with the iPod Touch.

    • 7). Click the entry for your iPod Touch under "Devices" on the left side of the iTunes application window. The "iPod summary" section will open in the center of the iTunes window.

    • 8). Click the tab at the top of the "iPod summary" section for each type of media that you want to sync to the device, then check the "Sync xxx" box at the top of the section, where "xxx" corresponds to the type of media you want to sync. For example, if you want to sync music, click the "Music" tab and check "Sync Music."

    • 9). Click the "Sync" button at the bottom of the window to sync the content in your iTunes library to your iPod Touch.
