- 1). Clean the butcher block surface and allow to completely dry. Use sandpaper to smooth out any rough edges.
- 2). Plug in a hair dryer and begin gently warming the surface of the butcher block. Turn off and place the hair dryer aside. Apply a light coating of the Behandla with a paint brush. As soon as the surface is covered, rub the surface with a clean, dry, lint-free towel or rag to even distribute the Behandla. Do not allow more than 15 minutes between painting the surface and rubbing with the cloth.
- 3). Turn on the hair dryer and again warm the surface. Rub the surface with a new, clean, dry towel to remove any excess Behandla.
- 4). Allow the surface to dry at least 2 to 4 hours before adding another coat by repeating the previous steps. Allow the butcher block to completely cure for 24 hours before using.
