How to Make a Bulleted List Around a Graphic in InDesign CS5
- 1). Select the “Type” tool and select the paragraphs that you want to convert to a bulleted list.
- 2). Click on the “Window” menu and select “Paragraph” to open the Paragraph panel.
- 3). Click on the flyout menu and select “Bullets and Numbers.”
- 4). Select “Bullets” from the “List Type” drop-down menu.
- 5). Select the desired bullet from the “Bullet Character” menu. Stylize the bullet and paragraph as desired.
- 1). Select the graphic that you want to wrap the bullet around.
- 2). Click on the “Window Menu” and select “Text Wrap.”
- 3). Click on the “Wrap around object shape” icon, which is the third icon.
- 4). Click on the “Type” drop-down menu under “Contour Options.” Select how you want the list to wrap around the graphic. “Bounding Box” wraps around the graphic’s rectangle box. “Detect Edges” wraps around the image; you can adjust the edges path using the direct selection tool and the drawing tools. “Graphic Frame” wraps around the graphic’s container frame.
- 5). Click on the “Wrap to” drop-down menu and select the side of the graphic you want the text to appear.
- 6). Select the text frame and position the text on top of the graphic as desired. The list should wrap around the graphic as specified in the “Text Wrap” panel.
