How to Put Movies on an iTouch
- 1). Open Apple iTunes on your computer. Click on the iTunes Store, which can be found in the left-hand side menu under the "Store" heading.
- 2). Click on "Movies," which can be found in various locations on the iTunes Store home page. Browse through the selection of movies and click "Buy Movie" to purchase each movie that you want to put on the iTouch. Selecting the "Rent Movie" option will give you access to the movie to view for a set period of time.
- 3). Connect the iTouch to the included USB cable, which is then plugged into an available USB port on the computer.
- 4). Click on the "Purchased" tab under the Store heading in the left-hand side menu in iTunes. Select the purchased movies that you want on your iTouch and drag them to the iTouch icon that has appeared in the left-hand side menu when you plugged in the device. Movies dragged to the icon will be placed on the iTouch.
- 1). Select the video files from your computer that you want to place on the iTouch. For easy access, save these files on your computer desktop.
- 2). Convert files to MP4 format. The iTouch can only play MP4 format video files. You can download a video converter (see Resources section). When using the converter, select the MP4 or iPod video format as the format that you want to convert the file to. Most converter programs have a file box area that you will select and drag the movie file into from your desktop. You will then select the MP4 or iPod video format and click "Convert." The new file should appear on your desktop.
- 3). Select and drag the newly converted file into the iTunes Movie section found under the "Library" heading. Go to the movie section under Library and select the files that you want to place on the iTouch.
- 4). Plug the iTouch USB cable into the iTouch and also into the available USB port on the computer. When the iTouch icon appears in the left-hand side iTunes menu, select and drag the movie files from the Movie section to the iTouch icon.
