- 1). Connect the iPod to your computer running iTunes. As iPods can only be synced to one computer, make certain that you only connect your iPod to the computer that stores your iTunes library. Once your iPod is connected, iTunes will automatically launch.
- 2). Click on your iPod that will be listed under the "Devices" title box in the left hand column of iTunes. If you named your iPod, the name will show in this list. Clicking on your device will bring up the iPod manager in the right window of iTunes.
- 3). Select the box "manually manage music and videos." This option will appear on the main screen of the iPod Manager and can be located near the bottom of the page.
- 4). Click the "Apply" button in the lower right hand corner of iTunes. Once you click apply, your iPod can now be managed manually. Remember that once you have manual selected you will need to manually eject your iPod when finished syncing or charging.
