How Do I Download Music From iTunes to an iPod?
- 1). Connect your iPod to your computer using the provided USB connector cable.
- 2). Launch the iTunes application if it has not launched automatically. Your iPod will appear in the navigation bar to the left of iTunes under "Devices."
- 3). Select your iPod, and then open the "Summary" tab in the main window. Enable the option "Manually manage music and videos." Click "Apply."
- 4). Click the arrow next to your iPod to expand its folder hierarchy.
- 5). Open the Music folder under "Library" and select the songs from your iTunes library that you want to transfer to your iPod. To select multiple songs, hold the "Ctrl" key while clicking if you're on a PC or the "Cmd/Apple" key if you're on a Mac.
- 6). Drag the selected songs into your iPod's "Music" folder. Wait for the files to download. You can watch their progress from the top bar of the iTune's application.
- 7). Click the "Eject" button to the far right of your iPod in the iTunes's navigation bar to disconnect your iPod from your computer safely.
