- 1). Click the "Start" button and choose "Control Panel." Double-click on "Folder Options." If the "Folder Options" icon is not available, click the "Switch to Classic View" link on the left side of the window, and then double-click on "Folder Options."
- 2). Click on the "View" tab. Locate the "Show hidden files and folders" option and click the radio button to select it.
- 3). Click "Apply" and then click the "OK" button.
- 4). Plug your iPod into your computer with a USB cable. An options window will pop up.
- 5). Click the option to "View files and folders" on the device to access the iPod. Back up music, photos and video on your iPod by dragging and dropping them into folders on your local hard drive, or store media files on the device by dragging the files from your computer to the appropriate folder on the iPod.
