- 1). Wait for your iPhone to finish syncing if it is connected to your computer. The following message is displayed in a tan box at the top of the screen when the iPhone is finished synching: "iPhone sync is complete. OK to disconnect."
- 2). Check to see that your iPhone has enough charge before you unhook it from a wall charger or your computer. The battery sign does not need to be full, but it should be green as opposed to red.
- 3). Unplug the AC adapter from the wall outlet if the iPhone is connected to a wall outlet.
- 4). Squeeze the two sides of the 30-pin connector plugged in to the docking port along the bottom edge of the iPhone and then pull the connector gently out of the iPhone.
