Shahs of Sunset, Shahs, Bravo, Iran, Iranian reality show, gay Iranian, Shahs of Sunset 2, Persian A
Shahs of Sunset, Bravo's addictive reality show following a group of Iranian American friends living in Beverly Hills, returns Sunday, December 2 for a second season.
While the six cast members are living Real Housewives lifestyles, their efforts to balance their social lives, up-and-coming careers and Persian traditions raise the show to a different level.
As does the inclusion of Reza Farahan, a gay real estate agent (son of Jewish and Muslim parents), who decided to join the cast after watching reports on suicides of bullied gay teens.
His decision brings much needed visibility to gay people of Middle Eastern decent.
This season sees the addition of Lilly Ghalichi to the cast. In the first episode, Farahan introduces Ghalichi (who looks like a missing Kardashian sister) to the other cast at a dinner party, but things don't go entirely well, especially when returning Shahs of Sunset star Golnesa "GG" Gharachedaghi gets drunk and becomes overly friendly with her new beau--at the dinner table.
Also coming in season two: pop princess Asa Soltan Rahmati moves back into her Venice mansion, Mercedes "MJ" Javid fights with her mother and the fact that Mike Shouhed's new dream girl isn't Jewish may derail the relationship before it really begins.
Catch a sneak peek, and tune into the December 2nd premiere (10/9PM Central). As an added incentive to watch the premiere, Bravo is offering two fans the chance to win a real bar of gold, worth up to $5,000, for simply tweeting @BravoTV using the hashtag #Shahs.
