How to Repair Microsoft Windows XP Professional
- 1). Insert your Windows XP CD into your computer, and restart the computer.
- 2). Press "Enter" when you see the following message: "To set up Windows XP now, press ENTER."
- 3). Read and accept the "License Agreement." Windows will then search for any previous installations of XP.
- 4). Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to select the installation of XP you want to repair and then press "R." Ignore the message: "Press any key to boot from CD." Windows Setup will begin to reinstall XP, but preserve your original programs and settings.
