How do I Put Carboard Sections Together in Plastic Christmas Storage Boxes?

    • 1). Separate the cardboard sections into two equal piles. One pile will be for the horizontal parts of the grid and the other pile for the vertical parts of the grid. Each section will have a series of slots on one side. Make sure that there is no stray cardboard in any of the slots.

    • 2). Grasp one cardboard section with the slots facing up. Slide the section down into the plastic box, slipping the top and bottom ends of the section into the slots in the side of the box. Make sure that the cardboard runs vertically and that you slip the ends into the first set of slots in the plastic.

    • 3). Slide another piece of cardboard into the second set of slots in the plastic. Continue placing cardboard sections until you have filled all of the slots in the top and bottom edges of the plastic carton. You will have rows of cardboard running vertically, filling the box interior.

    • 4). Grasp a cardboard section from the second pile with the slots facing downward. Slide the cardboard piece into the box horizontally so that the slots in the top piece fit over the slots in the bottom pieces. This will create the first line in the grid design. Make sure that the ends of the cardboard section are slipped into slots in the side of the plastic box.

    • 5). Add more sections of cardboard to the second layer until you complete the grid that fills the box.
