How to Make a Glow Stick With Mt. Dew
- 1). Drink your Mountain Dew bottle until you have about 25 percent of it left. Stop drinking and save this amount.
- 2). Place 1/8 of a teaspoon of baking soda into your soda bottle. This is just the size of the tip of a spoon.
- 3). Use your hydrogen peroxide's bottle cap to measure the liquid you need. Measure out three bottle caps and add it to your soda bottle.
- 4). Shake the soda bottle up after you replace the lid. The chemicals will now combine and react with a glow.
- 5). Pour the liquid into a test tube. You will have enough liquid to make several glow sticks. Make sure you put a cap on each test tube.
