How to Print From Vista to Windows ME

    • 1). Plug an Ethernet cable into the network port on the back of each computer and plug the other end of the cables into your router.

    • 2). Click "Start," click "Control Panel" and open "My Network Places" on the Windows ME computer.

    • 3). Double-click the "Home Networking Wizard."

    • 4). Click the option to "Use Default Workgroup Name (MSHOME)" and check the box next to the listing for your printer to share it across the network.

    • 5). Open the "Start" menu on the Vista computer. Right-click "Computer" and click "Properties."

    • 6). Click "Change Settings" next to "Workgroup Settings." Click "Change" and enter "MSHOME" as the workgroup.

    • 7). Open "Start" on the Vista computer, click "Control Panel" and click "Network and Sharing Center."

    • 8). Click the icon by "Printer Sharing" and select "On." Restart both computers and you will now be able to print using the ME computer's printer.
