Top 10 New Years Resolutions
Well the end of 2009 will be here soon and with that the examination of the past year and looking forward to where we want to go for the future.
For some we will look over the past year and see great successes to our new years resolutions of 2009 and for others we will probably see some failures.
We can all pretty much relate to the resolutions that are made year after year.
Following is a list of the top 10 new years resolutions.
1.
More time with friends & family 2.
Get Fit 3.
Lose weight 4.
Quite smoking 5.
Enjoy life more 6.
Quit drinking 7.
Get Out of Debt 8.
Learn Something New 9.
Help Others 10.
Get Organized I think we can all agree that all the above resolutions are worthy of attention and effort, so why do most people end up losing sight of these goals within months of the New Year? I believe the number one reason is not having a plan of execution.
Regardless of the nature of the resolution, physical, relational or monetary if you don't have a plan of execution this list of top 10 new years resolutions will be just that, a list.
If your resolution is related to money sit down and find out where you are spending all your money then lay out an attack to pay off debt.
If you need to lose some weight set some small goals that are weekly which allow you to tackle small steps towards the larger amount of weight loss.
If its relational, like spending more time with the kids or spouse, plan some outings in advance instead of being spontaneous so you know what will be expected and then don't let anything get in your way.
Another great option that has been beneficial to me is to find someone that you can consider an accountability person, this can be a mentor to help you achieve financial success or someone who you respect and you believe has achieved the same sort of all around success from relationships to finances.
Having a person in your life like this can help you keep on track when you might be struggling and will help hold you to your resolutions.
I hope you had a great 2009 and pray that you have an even better 2010 and that you will achieve all your top 10 new years resolutions in the year to come.
