Saving The Planet One Trash At A Time
Many movies and documentaries has tried to shed a light on the condition of our environment. Global warming is the hottest issue that has brought many great minds into considering the fact that we might be doing something wrong. However, there are more pressing matters at hand. Because of our abuse and neglect of our environment, the disasters that has been striking the nation everywhere. Extreme flooding and drought is being experienced by the different parts of the country. Only then do we think of way that we could have done.
Yet is'nt entire late for us. We can still do things to help our environment as well as prevent future disasters from occurring. Throughout the city, many Louisville recycling facilities are being constructed to aid in the efforts to reduce the waste materials being produced by man.
We waste and damage the environment as if there are no consequences. We waste natural resources as if they would never run out. We frown at efforts to save lots of the environment saying that it is being overtly dramatic or being radical. We even poke fun of efforts of the Louisville recycling programs.
It is true that there are many people who would rather deny something exists because they're not willing to accept the truth that they cannot control. But being stupid about it would not help anything. It is time that we open our minds to the other options that we have.
In our own small ways we can bring about the solution. The most effective and easier contribution a person can do is minimize their waste through recycling. Imagine the amount of trees that can be saved if paper products are recycled. The amount of plastic trash that would not be littering the dumpsites creating breeding ground for insects and epidemics. Just imagine the amount of non renewable resources that we could save.
As an alternative to denying something, why don't we address it as what it is. The environment needs our help. The environment cannot recover on its own fast enough to keep up with the damage we have been doing. It is time we clean up our acts and take care of our environment. Our planet needs our help.
