Things to Make With Organza Ribbon Fabric

    Bridal or Evening Bag

    • Organza ribbon and fabric can work with other fabrics such as textured lace and satin to form a bridal or evening bag made of overlapping circles that will be pulled together with cording kept in place with casing stitches. You can make the organza ribbon into a bow as well as rosettes that are attached to the bag near the casing.

    Headband

    • For a slightly different take on a veil that incorporates several different materials, you can make ruffled ribbon flowers from organza, silk and chiffon fabric and sew them into clusters onto a white headband frame. You can attach this together with a tulle pouf that gently covers the bride's head.

    Beading and Jewelry

    • Organza ribbon can serve in lieu of thread to hold beads together in a necklace or bracelet. You can either thread the ribbon through a bead hole by cutting the end of the ribbon to a sharp point, stringing the beads you wish and knotting the ribbon after each bead, or otherwise crimping to hold the bead in place. Alternately you can tie a thread around the ribbon and pass that through the bead hole; however, you will need a larger bead hole for this purpose. You may also opt for a collapsible needle eye to get the organza through a bead.

    Journal Accents

    • To decorate a scrapbook with rosettes made from organza ribbon material, you will need several spools of wide organza ribbon in coordinating colors, such as those for the petals and the leaves. You can go for a flat effect or a layered three-dimensional floral look. When making a flat-style flower, you can overlay two cutouts of flower patterns that have been outlined with glitter and place a foam pop dot at the center for the finished flower. For a three-dimensional flower, you might burn the edges of several wavy-edged flower cutouts to get curled petals, which you can then stack and glue on top of one another; afterwards you can glue the flower to your scrapbook page.
