• 1). Click the "Start" button and click "Control Panel."

• 3). Click "Settings" in the Performance section.
  
  
• 4). Check "Use drop shadows" and "Smooth edges" for desktop icons and fonts in the Visual Effects section.

• 2). Click "Personalize" and choose "Window Color and Appearance."
  
  
• 3). Click "Effects." Choose "Clear Type" under method to smooth fonts.
