How do I Change a Screen on a PSP 3000?

    • 1). Remove the battery from the PSP to reveal four screws. Remove these screws and place them aside. Remove the two screws on the opposite end of the battery and the final screw on the bottom edge of the PSP.

    • 2). Gently lift up on the PSP cover to lift it off and place it to the side. Insert your flat-head screwdriver in between the PSP screen and the screen bracket. Twist slightly to release the screen from the bracket.

    • 3). Fold the PSP screen down 90 degrees to reveal two cables connecting the screen to the PSP motherboard. Disconnect these two cables and gently lift the PSP screen out of the PSP.

    • 4). Place the new PSP screen into the PSP at the same angle. Connect the two cables from the screen to the PSP mother board via the orange clips. Fold the screen into the PSP, snapping it into the screen bracket.

    • 5). Place the PSP cover back on and tighten the seven screws with the Phillips-head screwdriver.
