Home Business - Overcoming Resistance to Change
To make the quickest progress in your home based business you don't have to take huge leaps.
You just have to take baby steps...
and keep on taking them.
In Japan, they call this approach kaizen, which translates literally as "continual improvement.
" Using kaizen, great and lasting success is achieved through small, consistent steps.
It turns out that slow and steady is the best way to overcome your resistance to change.
Many of us resist change - even when it's good for us! It's the reason most of us have exercise bikes stuck in the garage or spend money monthly on gym memberships that we never use.
Your brain often views change with suspicion...
"that works for you, but it will never work for me", is what you hear your mind say.
But mostly this suspicion is based on fear.
How to overcome the fear? Continual and gradually change...
keep your changes small and reward those small successes.
It was so rewarding when my first article was published on someone else's blog.
I had 50 articles published on the internet and someone took one.
Seems like a lot of work for one article, but that fact that someone honored me with posting it on their blog was a statement that what I'm doing is worth reading.
As you achieve even small victories like someone using your words, you gain confidence which gives you the ability to move to the next challenge in your home based business activities.
Another way to overcome your resistance to change is to engage a support system.
This system can be made up of a support coach, a mentor, friends that think like you, or a mastermind group.
Many network marketing companies offer support via phone calls, training and some more progress MLM's offer real success coaches to guide along your home business journey.
Another important lesson to gain from the Japanese kaizen method is monitoring.
It is important to set a goal.
Create measurable tasks in which to reach that goal and monitor them.
By monitoring each task in your business, you will see area's that need some changes and make those corrections quickly before they become real concerns.
But most importantly you can see your success and improve upon them for great profits.
Change is a natural part of life...
Change is necessary for the growth of your home business.
Look for ways to grow with your fear.
Training is great way to achieve the knowledge to make you confident in a new task.
There is an abundance of training on the internet, so choice on topic and take those baby steps to learning and growth.
When you overcome your fear, success will follow.
You just have to take baby steps...
