How to Make a Wristlet Purse
- 1). Fold the pot holder in half. Sew up the short sides on either end of the folded pot holder with a 1/4-inch inseam.
- 2). Turn the pouch inside out. Open the zipper and pin one half of the zipper to each side of the opening along the top. Pin the zipper so the teeth of the zipper hang just over the top edge of each side with the pull facing the inside of the pouch.
- 3). Sew the zipper in place as close to the teeth as possible.Remove the straight pins as you sew. Turn the pouch right side out, and tuck the tail ends of the zipper inside the pouch.
- 4). Thread the 12-inch length of ribbon through the loop on the pot holder. Tie the ends of the ribbon in a knot to create the wrist strap for your wristlet.
