Do You Have What it Takes to Be a Really Good Life Coach?

Right now there is a shortage of good life coaches.
Gone are the days when this service was only sought by senior executives and celebrities.
Gone are the days when it was only those in the boardroom or on the film set who sat and had regular sessions with a coach.
During the eighties and nineties the secrets of the boardroom and the film set started to trickle out and the everyday man and woman on the street became aware of the terrific benefits of having a life coach.
The cost has dropped to the point that it is now affordable and most importantly more and more people are not only seeing it as money well spent, but actually essential.
The average coach will charge around $50 for a 45 minute session.
Two sessions per month are what most people would have.
So $100 per month is the regular commitment many, many thousands of people are happily making because of the tremendous benefits that come from being coached.
However, this has caused a problem.
It has caused a shortage of people becoming life coaches.
And it doesn't just take anyone.
You need to be the kind of person who relates well to people, the kind of person who has good insight and the kind of person who can help others to focus on what matters in their lives.
Good coaches have good natural abilities.
These tend not to be the kind of abilities that can be taught or learnt.
They need to be natural and that is where the problem lies.
Trying to get those with these natural abilities to come forward and seriously consider this occupation is not easy.
We need to raise the profile of life coaching to encourage more people with the natural abilities to come forward and start work.
The need is there and the demand is huge.
