How to Dress Like Nico

    • 1). Wear long, dark, tight-fitting slacks. Nico's trademark was dark pants with a slender fit. These pants accentuated her 6-foot tall willowy model frame.

    • 2). Wear a lot of black. Nico's presence was sad, introspective and slightly morbid. Most of her outfits consisted of entirely black. Nico was never "girly" in her outfits and a lot of her clothes were tomboyish and simple, and black was often the main ingredient.

    • 3). Add cardigans to your wardrobe. Nico often threw cardigans over her outfits. Paired with her long, sleek slacks, this gave her a simplistic, modest, yet still attractive style. Her cardigans were often white in color, but sometimes grey or beige. Dress jackets are also a good idea to throw over your outfits for a Nico-esque vibe.

    • 4). Grow your hair out long. Straight, long, flaxen hair with bangs epitomizes Nico and her style. The straighter the hair the better, and the sharper the bangs the better.

    • 5). Apply smoky eye makeup! Thick black eyeliner and smoky grey or black eyeshadow was Nico's trademark. To achieve this look, you can use Benefit's "Bad Gal" thick eyeliner pencil or any MAC eyeshadow in a dark, charcoal color (MAC cosmetics is the best brand for this because of the highly pigmented shades). Give your eye makeup a slightly smudgy effect by rubbing the makeup in slightly, with a cotton swab or even with your fingers.
