Video: How to Recycle Men's Shirts

Video Transcript

Hi there, this is Mo of Mo West Creations. Today, I'm going to share some ideas for how to recycle men's shirts. Here I'm going to show you a couple different shirts that I made into dresses. This one is a skull cutout, it's great for layering and is made with just one extra large male shirt, with an extra detailed back. Paired with it, is a scarf which is also made from just one shirt, just cut into strips, no sewing. Here we a, another style, more casual, also just made from one single male shirt. I took the sleeves and made them, so that they would make the dress longer and have a scooped neck. Here we have a top and skirt. The skirt is made from two different shirts, using the existing hems and then, just cutting even size strips and sewing them together. The top is no sew, of course, it's styled tank top made from a male shirt. Here we have a vest made from a male shirt. The back was once the front of the shirt. And it's a great, simple no sew vest, which you can wear it long and casual or tie up, super simple update for that male shirt. Similar to that corset top, we have this halter that is also no sew. But rather than corseting, it's tying up the back. Or you can go a little more funky with it and we have this super fun fringed top. Which was once very large, but now we used that extra fabric that was giving it width to give it fringe. This has just been t-shirts, but the possibilities are so limitless. Have fun with it, experiment with recycling those men's shirts. And have a great one, ciao.
