How to Make Your Own Stuffed Penguin
- 1). Fold a piece of black fabric in half. The fabric can be any size, depending on how big the maker wants the penguin to be. On the fabric, draw a basic penguin outline with a piece of chalk. The shape of a penguin is characterized by a round body with flipper feet and a small head.
- 2). Cut out the penguin shape with a pair of scissors. Because the fabric was folded, there should now be two identical pieces of fabric, both shaped like a penguin.
- 3). Sew the two pieces together, making a seam around the penguin. Leave about 2 inches unsewn. This space will be where the stuffing will go in.
- 4). Turn the fabric inside out, so that now the rough edges of the seam are on the inside and the outside seam is smooth. Using the open hole, stuff the penguin with stuffing, which can be purchased at a craft store. When finished, stitch up the remaining hole.
- 5). Cut out felt pieces that make up the stomach and face of the penguin. The stomach should be a white oval, and the face needs two white eyes with small black pupils, and an orange beak. Use fabric glue to attach these pieces, and the stuffed penguin is finished.
