How to Erase a Deactivated iPhone

    • 1). Press the "Home" button on your iPhone. If the device is locked, unlock it by sliding the arrow icon across the screen.

    • 2). Locate the "Settings" application. (If you have rearranged your icons, it may not be on the main home screen. Swipe your finger across the screen to access the other home screens.)

    • 3). Touch the "Settings" icon. Scroll to and touch the "General" entry.

    • 4). Scroll to and touch the "Reset" option at the end of the list.

    • 5). Touch the "Erase All Content and Settings" option. You will be prompted for your iPhone pass code twice after a disclaimer. Enter it both times to start the erasure and reset process.
