Wedding Centerpiece Ideas With Fish Bowls
- Pour water into each fish bowl about halfway. Add in two or three floating candles for each centerpiece. If this is too plain, arrange fresh or silk flowers or candles around the rim of the bowl.
- Incorporate flowers into your centerpiece in a less expensive way. Instead of buying an entire bouquet for each table, purchase two or three of your favorite blooms. Fill the fish bowl about halfway with water. Let the flowers float on top. To add some more color or texture, place colored stones at the bottom before adding the water.
- For a summertime or beach wedding, fill the bowl with sand, shells and a starfish or two. For an autumn wedding, arrange pine cones, acorns and silk leaves in your bowl. If the wedding is in December, fill the bowl with shiny or glitter-covered silver ornaments.
- Add actual fish for a real centerpiece surprise. Cover the bottom of the bowl with colored gravel, stones or marbles. Fill the bowl with room temperature water and add a freshwater fish. At the end of the night, make sure a guest from each table takes the centerpiece home. While this can be a possibility for any wedding, it might work well at a summertime outdoor affair.
- Pick one fruit, such as green pears, oranges or lemons, and fill the bowl to the top. This works especially well with larger bowls. For an additional touch, top the bowls with ivory roses or white hydrangeas.
