About Toasters

Toasters - the easiest way of browning bread! Healthy and easy breakfast is what these potent equipments promise.
Bread is favoured by a lot many and nothing beats the mouth watering aroma of freshly baked bread.
Well, this need not necessarily treat you only during your visit to the baker.
With the advent of toasters, you can have this experience at home every morning! No doubt, toasters have advanced a lot these days, and now the market is flooded with options.
These are available in different shapes, matching colours and styles.
Their main feature is the slot.
The number of family members and apparently your love for bread will determine the type of model - 2, 4 or 6 slices.
It is not just the number of slots that are crucial but also the dimensions.
Long and deep slots have room for larger slices, while wide ones can accommodate thicker slices.
These can be used for making teacakes, bagels and crumpets as well.
Some models may have side by side slots which make it bulky and take up more worktop space.
The ones that have longer slots are a lot slimmer and save space.
Bread slices should be held in the middle to avoid burnt sides or edges and the bread carriage should be high enough to let you pick the toast without burning your fingers.
No toaster should leave grid line marks on the toast and so should have a sturdy cage with slender bars.
Some toasters come with additional features that enable hassle free and effortless toasting.
Crumb trays that slide in and out collect left over pieces of bread and help in easy cleaning.
An extra lift facility helps you clean the carriage by raising it and removing items that may remain after the toasting is done.
For frozen bread, one can choose a toaster with a defrost option.
This option defrosts the bread before the toasting cycle and in those machines without this option, turning up the browning control will suffice.
Some other valued features include countdown option, reheat and bun warmer.
The countdown time displays in second the time left for the toast to get ready.
These are becoming increasingly popular nowadays.
Reheat option and bun warmer option enable you to serve your bread fresh and hot even if it had popped up a little early.
There is also a "cool touch" feature that allows one to touch the machine without burning fingers, even while it is functioning.
