• "Dead Rising" is a survival-horror game released for the Xbox 360 in 2006. The player assumes the role of Frank West, a photographer stranded in a zombie-infested mall. The player must survive for 72 hours in the main game mode. There is also infinity mode in which the player tries to survive as long as possible without being able to save. The game has a few exploits and safe spots that allow you to cheat and more easily complete the game.
  
  

Easy 72- Hour Mode

• Frank West, stuck in the mall with zombies, periodically receives calls that drive him through the story missions. He then has to make it to the helipad on top of the mall to escape at the end of 72 hours. You can beat this mode without doing anything extraordinary. Just wait for six hours in real time and go to the helipad to meet the helicopter. You will not have to deal with difficult enemies since they are only encountered while exploring the mall or working on cases.
  
  

Infinity Mode Safe Spots

• The purpose of infinity mode in "Dead Rising" is to survive as long as possible by going around the mall fighting enemies trying to collect food. Running around the mall is a calculated gamble because you need to collect more food to restore health than you lose fighting enemies. It is much easier to cheat at this mode by grabbing the readily found food in the food stores and hiding in a safe spot. An easy safe spot is at the entrance of the mall. Kill the zombies between the inner and outer shutters. No zombies can get in there after the inner shutters are barricaded. The security room is also safe once you kill the zombies in any of the rooms and close all of the doors. In general, standing on top of any bookcase in the mall will also be a safe spot.
  
  

Easy Indoorsman and Outdoorsman Achievements

• The Indoorsman and Outdoorsman Xbox 360 achievements in "Dead Rising" are supposed to be awarded for surviving 24 hours inside or outside the mall. Players can exploit a glitch that will easily award you both achievements. Start a new game and wait in the entrance plaza of the mall for two hours without letting the zombies in. You will receive the Indoorsman achievement without having to deal with zombies in the mall. Go through the beginning missions of the game until you reach the security office. Save the game once you arrive in the security office. Turn off your Xbox 360 console and turn it back on. You will receive the Outdoorsman achievement when you reload your saved game.
