How to Identify a GE Electric Range for Service

    • 1). Locate the model number and serial number of your range. According to the official GE website, the model and serial numbers of all GE ranges are located in one of several possible locations. These locations include: under the front left surface unit; under the lift-up cooktop; on the frame behind the oven door; on the front of the frame behind the drawer; or on the left leg behind the storage drawer, broil drawer, or kick panel.

    • 2). Call GE's customer service center to make service arrangements or schedule service online at the official GE website. Provide the model and serial numbers of your range, as well as all other required information.

    • 3). Write the model and serial numbers down in the "notes" section of your range's operation manual. This will allow you to find the numbers even faster, should you need to refer to them again in the future.
