How to Garnish a Margarita

  • 1). Fill a shallow saucer with enough coarse salt to coat the rim of your margarita glass.

  • 2). Cut a slice of lime and line the rim of the glass with fresh lime juice by rubbing the fruit around the rim of the glass.

  • 3). Drip the rim of the glass into the salt and slowly spin the glass until the rim is well coated in salt.

  • 4). Cut a thin slice of the lime and put a slit in it running from the center to the outer edge of the rind.

  • 5). Slide the lime slice onto the rim of the glass and carefully pour the drink, making sure not to disturb the salted rim.
