Bad Landing Pages

Once in a while you click on some link or ad that interests you expecting that you'll get to see something that you will like.
But then when you get to the landing page of the site you totally get unrelated information about what you saw in the ad.
And as you are trying to get a hold of what caught your attention in the first place, you have to scroll through tons of text and eventually you get lost and hit the back button.
This is a frustrating experience for a potential customer.
Having a bad landing page can cost you a lot of potential customers bouncing off your website.
Being an internet marketer you don't want to lose your visitors just as they are arriving at your website.
On the other hand, getting a visitor to complete a conversion is what you aim for.
But you won't get that conversion rate up if you're still keeping that bad page.
Here are some characteristics of a bad landing page: 1.
Too Long Bombarding your visitors with too much content will make them lose their main focus.
You are providing them with lots of options to do on your landing page which deviates from what you ultimately want them to do, to buy a product or to sign up for your mailing list.
2.
Mismatched Message If the header of your creative ad or link does not match the header or content of your page, your visitor will feel lost.
Contents of your ad and landing page should be consistent.
3.
Bad Form Asking too much information from your visitors can make them feel uncomfortable and awkward.
Visitors will hesitate to give out personal information to someone they barely trust and a landing page that asks too many questions is a turn off.
4.
Weak Content Poor headlines and design won't appeal to your visitors.
Emotionless visuals will reflect on you, the owner of the website.
If your visitors see that your landing page is kind of cheap and poorly made, they will think that the owner of the site is lazy or has no enthusiasm for the job.
The visitors trust is then lost.
