How to String a Porcelain Doll

    • 1). Measure any original remaining elastic, or measure the length from the head hook down to the lowest foot hook and add an extra 2 inches.

    • 2). Tie the elastic cord to the head hook. Use two knots and make them in different directions for added strength.

    • 3). Use the crochet hook and draw the cording through the torso parts and down through the leg parts.

    • 4). Bring it through the bottom hook and back up through the leg and torso portions until you are back where you started.

    • 5). Hold the two elastic pieces with the needle-nose pliers and tie two knots around the head hook. Pull the elastic so there is some tension but not enough to possibly break the doll body.

    • 6). Trim any excess elastic with scissors.

    • 7). Attach a piece of doll elastic to one of the arm hooks and run it through the torso with the crochet hook.

    • 8). Bring it back through the body until it is at the starting point.

    • 9). Clasp these two strands of elastic with the pliers and with some tension, tie another double knot in two directions. Trim with scissors.
