- 1). Unplug the lamp from the wall and set it on a towel near the sink.
- 2). Unscrew the light bulb and set it aside. Remove the lampshade.
- 3). Fill the sink with warm water and add 2 tablespoons of a mild dish soap.
- 4). Soak a soft clean cloth in the water and wring it out well.
- 5). Wipe the lamp with the cloth. Rinse out the cloth in the sink and continue to wipe the base of the cord until it is clean.
- 6). Use paper towels or a clean dry cloth to dry the lamp.
- 1). Fill the sink or the bathtub with enough warm water to cover the lampshade and add enough soap to make the water sudsy.
- 2). Set the lampshade in the water, Use a soft bristle brush to gently scrub the lampshade clean.
- 3). Rinse the lampshade by dipping it in clean clear water two or three times.
- 4). Hang the lampshade to dry by tying a string to the middle of the frame. Suspend it over the shower curtain bar or on a clothesline until completely dry.
