How to Set Up an iPhone in iTunes
- 1). Plug your iPhone the computer using the iPhone USB cable which was included with your iPhone.
- 2). Open iTunes. The iPhone will appear on the left sidebar under "Devices."
- 3). Launch the "Set Up Your iPhone" window by selecting the iPhone from the sidebar.
- 4). Select "Register iPhone" and follow the prompts to register your phone.
- 5). Select the tab labeled "Info." The tab is at the top of the large middle window with "iPhone" written in the top left corner. Select "Automatically sync contacts, calendars and bookmarks" to add contacts, calendars and bookmarks to your iPhone.
- 6). Select the "Applications" tab. Click on the boxes to the immediate left of the applications you wish to load onto your iPhone. Click and drag the applications within the iTunes window to arrange how they will appear on your iPhone's screen.
- 7). Select the "Ringtones" tab. Click on the check boxes beside the ringtones you wish to load onto your iPhone.
- 8). Select the "Music" tab. Click on the check boxes beside the songs you wish to load onto your iPhone or select "Sync All." Repeat this process for the "Movies," "TV Shows" and "Photos" tabs.
- 9). Select the "Summary" tab. Click on the button labeled "Apply" located on the right side of the bottom of the screen. This will load all of the selected items onto you iPhone and complete the process of setting up your iPhone in iTunes.
