How to Make a Paper Bag Scarecrow
- 1). Take the pattern for your hat, and trace it onto the white or tan construction paper. Once you have completed the trace, cut out your hat. Decorate your hat with stitches (much like a tic-tac-toe square grid).
- 2). Place your paper bag on a table, with the flap side down. Take your google eyes and glue them about 3 inches from the top. With your marker, draw the eyebrows.
- 3). With the orange construction paper, cut out a triangular nose. Glue your nose on under the eyes.
- 4). With the pink paper, cut out two circles, and glue on each side of the nose. Draw a smile from one side of the circle to the other. If you like, you can draw stitches on the smile.
- 5). Take your yellow construction paper and fold like a greeting card. Then cut the card in half. Take one piece and cut it into small strips for hair. Glue the strips at the top of the bag to make it look like hair.
- 6). With the brown construction paper, cut a thin band to glue onto the top of the hat. Glue the brim of the hat so that it covers the brown band a little bit.
- 7). Take your orange foam flower, and glue it to your scarecrow's hat.
- 8). Now take your hat, and glue it onto your scarecrow's hair.
- 9). Once you have completed the above tasks, it is time to stuff your scarecrow. Take some crumbled newspaper and stuff it into the bag.

Take your wooden spoon or paint stick, and cover the bottom in glue. Then carefully crumple the bottom of your scarecrow around the the stick. Don't let the bottom of the bag adhere to the stick. - 11
Take a ribbon and tie it to the end of your scarecrow bag. Tie it into a bow. Take some leftover yellow construction paper and glue into the bottom of the bag. Now your scarecrow is complete.
