How to Make a Homemade Shawl

- 1). Cut a length of fleece fabric that is approximately 45 inches wide by 72 inches long.
- 2). Lay out the fleece fabric on a work surface or your lap. Hold the fabric so that one short edge is directly in front of you.
- 3). Use scissors to make cuts going across the short edge of the shawl. Each cut should be approximately 1/2 inch wide by 4 inches deep. Start on the left side and work your way across to the right to make these fringe cuts.
- 4). Repeat Step 3 with the other short edge of the shawl to make fringe on that side as well.
- 5). Wrap the shawl around your shoulders to wear it.
