Sparetimes

• Sparetimes offers basic and ultimate party packages for a minimum of eight kids. Both of the two-hour parties include unlimited bowling, bowling shoes, food, themed paper products and a balloon for each child. For the ultimate party, you can choose to serve hot dogs, pizza or grilled cheese sandwiches, and choose the theme of the paper products. The ultimate party provides a private party room, a party host, goody bags and ice cream. Outside food is not allowed in an ultimate party, but cake and ice cream may be brought to a basic party. As of 2010, the basic party package cost was $135, and the ultimate party cost was $175. A $15 fee was charged for each additional child.
  
  

Cosmic Putt Cafe

• A birthday party at Cosmic Putt Cafe is available for a minimum of 10 guests. The party includes invitations; an hour and a half of party time; an 18-hole game of indoor putt-putt golf; soda; a slice of pizza or a hot dog and chips for each guest; paper products, setup and cleanup. Outside food and drinks are not allowed, except for cake. Schedule a party in the evening, when the putt-putt golf course glows in the dark. Cosmic Putt Cafe is open from Friday to Sunday. As of 2011, the party cost was $125, with a $10 fee for each additional child.
  
  

Hampton Green's Martial Arts and Karate Center

• Hampton Green's Martial Arts and Karate Center offers birthday parties, which begin with a group karate lesson. The birthday boy or girl is the assistant instructor for the day, and celebrates with friends by participating in games and activities. Parties include an instructor; pizza and juice for each child; a cake that the birthday boy or girl cuts using a samurai sword; and time to open presents. Setup and cleanup are also included in the party package.
  
  

T.N.T. Dynamite Parties

• Children can celebrate their birthdays at T.N.T. Dynamite Parties in Newport News, about 15 minutes from Hampton. Two party rates are available: One is for up to 10 guests, and another is for 11 to 15 guests. Both parties include one hour of bouncing and sliding on inflatables in the play arena; one hour in the party room; soda; invitations; decorations; and paper products. Pizza, popcorn, balloons and thank-you cards are available at an additional cost. You may bring cake and ice cream to the venue. Reservations may be made online, by e-mail or by phone. As of 2011, the cost of the party for up to 10 people was $150, the cost of the party for 11 to 15 people was $175, and a $5 fee was charged for each additional guest.
