Houston Car Theft Precautions - Part 6

This makes the total count of articles in this series six.
As we have already discussed, Houston experiences a high number of car thefts year after year.
Moreover, the right precaution in place will reduce the risk dramatically.
I will start by a quick recap of the findings and suggestions we discussed so far, and then get right into new precaution tips.
It has so far been concluded that thieves will look for those cars with a For Steal signs.
Those sign are including and not limited to leaving the keys in the ignition and or leaving the doors unlocked while you run for a very quick errand.
Another sign is leaving valuables in the car in a way visible from the outside; among those valuables is a fancy stereo player with a detachable face.
Moreover, we agreed that amongst your tasks to reduce the risk of car theft in Houston is to park in well-lighted areas.
Areas in which you know there is nearby traffic and people.
Otherwise, you have parked in thieves' safe haven.
If you were to walk away with one piece of information from this article then it is to follow.
Install an after market alarm system.
Not a loud, annoying one that would annoy your neighbor, but doesn't necessarily deter theft, rather an alarm that would trigger if someone breaks into the car, or attempts to tow the car.
The second set of alarms is equipped with sensitive sensors, and will disable ignition should theft be sensed.
