Perfect Bridal Shower Ideas

A few months before the wedding, it is traditional for the bridal party to throw a shower to celebrate the wedding.
A bridal shower is different than a bachelorette party.
Typically a bridal shower is attended by the bridal party, close friends of the bride and immediate female family members of the bride and the groom.
The planning phase for a shower involves: · Choosing a place to hold the event · Planning a meal · Sending out invitations · Putting together a guest list and possibly a seating chart if it a larger scale event.
· Coming up with a theme or a decoration idea for the party.
Food and decorations Most times a bridal shower is an informal event; the meal served is usually not a full course dinner but instead more along the lines of finger food, appetizers and hors d'oeuvres.
A great place to incorporate the theme of the shower is in the cake decoration, invitations and decor.
For example if your theme for the shower is "Pretty in Pink" then the cake should be pink and most of the decorations should be in shades of pink too.
Also the invitations should reflect the theme of the party if possible.
Bridal shower party themes can be based on anything that the host thinks the bride would enjoy.
Some ideas include: · A chocoholic themed party with plenty of different chocolate treats to sample.
· A wine and cheese tasting party, with samples for all.
· A kitchen or linen gift themed party where all the guests give gifts for the kitchen or linens to help the new bride stock up on needed items.
· A lingerie party, where all the guests give the bride sexy lingerie for her honeymoon.
· A crafting party, where guest get together and make special gifts for the bride.
There are many themes that can be used but if none seem right for your party you may just decide it is best to pick a color scheme and not do an entire theme for your party.
Really anything goes with bridal shower parties but whatever you choose it should reflect the tastes of the bride.
